About This Item
Four interlocking arcs of solid black walnut, carved and assembled into a continuous knot — a form that has no beginning and no end. At the center, a high-clarity crystal glass ball sits suspended within the structure, catching and refracting light as it moves through the room. The whole sculpture rests on a black marble-finish base. In Chinese tradition, the interlocking knot form references the prosperity knot — wealth and good fortune flowing in from all eight directions.
Why You'll Love It
- Continuous Interlocking Knot — Four solid black walnut arcs with no beginning and no end → a form that rewards looking at from every angle
- Suspended Crystal Ball Center — High-clarity glass catches and refracts light across the walnut surfaces → a genuinely striking optical detail
- Black Marble-Finish Base — A solid rectangular base grounds the sculpture → it sits like a statement, not a trinket
- Traditional Meaning — The interlocking knot references the prosperity knot — fortune flowing in from all directions → an object with a reason to exist
