About This Item
The Perpetual Calendar Music Box combines a functional perpetual calendar with a hand-crank music box in one handcrafted maple wood piece. Three rotating wooden blocks display the month, date, and day of the week — turn each block to set the current date, a small tactile ritual that takes seconds. Then turn the wooden crank: an imported music box mechanism inside plays the melody — Frühlingslied for the Piano Bird, Kommt Ein Vogel Geflogen for the Squirrel. Two character designs are available: a bird at the piano and a squirrel with a pencil. The construction uses maple wood, plastic, iron, and copper — natural wood warmth with durable moving parts — and it runs entirely mechanically: no batteries, no charging, no electronics.
Why You'll Love It
- Calendar + Music Box in One — Rotating blocks for month, date, day — plus a hand-crank melody → a multi-sensory daily ritual
- Two Characters — Piano Bird (7.5cm / 3") or Squirrel with pencil → each with its own melody
- Imported Music Box Mechanism — Reliable movement behind a satisfying crank → Frühlingslied or Kommt Ein Vogel Geflogen
- No Batteries, Pure Mechanical — Maple wood, plastic, iron, and copper — hand-powered → it works for decades, not seasons
- Free 15-Character Base Engraving — A name or a date on the wooden base → the ritual becomes personal
