A kinetic balance sculpture built around a single design problem: how to make a curved wood arc light enough to balance perfectly, while strong enough to hold five balance arms and eight solid wood balls in calibrated suspension. The answer is pressure-bent composite wood — a layered wood material that can be bent into a smooth continuous curve without joints or breaks, and is significantly lighter than solid wood of the same thickness. The arc rises from a spiral base. Five balance arms extend from the arc at different heights, each holding one or two solid wood balls of varying sizes. The whole structure is in perfect balance. Touch any ball gently and the entire sculpture begins to move — each element swinging at its own rhythm, the balls tracing slow arcs through the air. When it settles, it is a beautiful static object. When it moves, it is something else entirely.
