About This Item
Wind the base. Set it down. A labrador sits upright on the rotating platform, arms extended around a full-size cello, bow raised — and the music begins as the base slowly turns. The Labrador Cellist is a hand-sanded solid wood sculpture with a wind-up mechanical music movement built into the rotating base. The body and base are rubberwood with warm, pale natural grain; the head, ears, and limbs are ebony wood — deep near-black, smooth-finished. Together the two tones read as a performing dog in natural and dark wood. Choose your song at checkout: Happy Birthday, Canon in D, or Castle in the Sky.
Why You'll Love It
- A Full-Size Cello — Arms extended around a real-scale cello, bow raised → a character committed to the performance
- Two-Wood Hand-Sanded Finish — Pale rubberwood body, deep ebony head and limbs → natural contrast, smooth to the touch
- Rotating Platform — The base turns slowly as the song plays → motion plus melody
- Three Songs — Happy Birthday, Canon in D, or Castle in the Sky → choose the moment at checkout
