About This Item
A thousand-year-old counting tool, reimagined as a pocket worry stone. The Abacus Palm Worry Stone takes the form of a traditional Chinese abacus — four rows, five beads per row, twenty beads total — rebuilt in three materials chosen for their sensory quality: a solid wood frame CNC-milled from fine-grained hardwood, twenty Bodhi seed beads threaded on precision brass axles, and a black braided tassel at the corner. Hold it in the palm and roll the beads with your thumb: the brass axles turn smoothly and silently, and the Bodhi seeds are warm, slightly textured, and deeply satisfying to move. With handling, the seeds develop a warm burnished patina — a material that rewards long-term carry.
Why You'll Love It
- 20 Bodhi Seed Beads — Each naturally unique in grain and tone, warming to a burnished patina with handling → no two stones alike
- Precision Brass Axles — Smooth, rattle-free rotation in every row → satisfying, quiet action in the palm
- Traditional Abacus Form — Four rows, five beads each — a thousand-year-old design → heritage you can roll
- Solid Wood CNC Frame — Fine-grained hardwood, milled to order → the beads move; the frame stays
