About This Item
A hand-carved ornament from natural red oil cypress — one of the most prized aromatic woods in Chinese craft tradition. The surface is carved with New-Chinese style detail and left unpainted and unwaxed, so the natural grain and color speak for themselves. Hold it in your palm, give it a turn, and feel the weight settle into a smooth, balanced, silent spin. The natural wood scent — warm, resinous, distinctly cypress — fills the space around it. A desk object that is simultaneously a fidget tool, a fortune symbol, and a piece of handcraft.
Why You'll Love It
- Red Oil Cypress — A dense, aromatic hardwood prized in Chinese craft tradition → warm reddish-brown, distinctly resinous scent
- Unpainted, Unwaxed Surface — Left natural so grain, color, and aroma develop with handling → the more you touch it, the better it gets
- Smooth, Silent Spin — Carved and balanced for an even, quiet rotation → a quiet fidget for any desk
- New-Chinese Carving Detail — Traditional motif, contemporary restraint → handcraft you can hold
