About This Item
The Kinetic Ring Light is a kinetic desk object built around one slow, hypnotic motion: two CNC-machined aerospace aluminum bars crossing inside an aluminum ring, rotating continuously in slow, weightless opposition — as one bar swings forward, the other swings back. The ring itself glows: a warm light runs through a silicone diffusing ring around the inner frame edge, soft enough to read beside. The base is solid Sabili wood with a touch dimmer built into the side — one touch to switch on, more to cycle low, mid, and bright. Motion runs for 60 days per charge.
Why You'll Love It
- 60-Day Continuous Motion — Counter-rotating aluminum bars, silent and frictionless → set it on the desk and forget it for two months
- 3000K Ambient Ring Light — 3mm (0.1") silicone diffuser, three touch-dimmed levels → soft enough to read beside
- Aerospace Aluminum + Sabili Wood — 204mm (8") precision ring over a solid wood base → engineering meets material
- Touch-Dimmer Base — One surface, three levels plus on/off → light tuned to the hour
