The two rings are held in precise alignment by dual magnetic tension: an inner magnetic ring embedded in the fixed layer and an outer magnetic ring embedded in the spinning layer, facing each other across the bearing gap. The magnets provide resistance, alignment, and a defined ratchet feel as the outer ring rotates.

• Detachable Version — No-Tool Removal, Ten or More Hand Feels: In the detachable configuration, the outer ring can be removed from the inner ring by aligning two small notches on the rim and pulling cleanly apart. The magnetic tension holds the ring securely during normal use but releases without resistance when the notches are aligned. By adjusting the rotational position of the outer ring before re-seating it, the user changes the relative alignment of the inner and outer magnets — shifting the ratchet feel, the resistance character, and the spin dynamics.
