About This Item
Four cats. One walnut block. One artist's hand. The Hand-Painted Peekaboo Cat Pen Holder is a solid black walnut desk organizer with a hand-painted lacquer art panel: four cats — a tabby, a white, a grey, and a black — stacked in a peekaboo composition, each peering around the edge of the wood with a different expression. The painting is applied using a traditional lacquer technique classified as intangible cultural heritage — pigment is built up in layers to create a three-dimensional surface relief that catches light differently from every angle.
Why You'll Love It
- Hand-Painted Heritage Lacquer Art — Layered pigment builds a 3D relief that shifts with the light → every piece is painted by hand and unique
- Four Individuated Cats — Tabby, white, grey, and black, each with its own expression → a scene that keeps giving you something to notice
- Solid Black Walnut Body — Full-thickness hardwood with a clear protective finish → the dark grain stays the star, not a printed surface
- Personal Touch — Up to 30 characters of engraving → a keepsake for the person who keeps pens at their desk
