Mechanical Art & Steampunk Sculptures: Artists, Gods & Monsters
Aktie
Mechanical art is where engineering meets art history: hand-crank figures of Van Gogh, steampunk Godzilla sculptures, motorized wings, and a solid-wood dragon that flaps on command. These are the pieces for people who collect mechanisms rather than trinkets. At Lightyear24 the mechanical art range spans $49 to $279.99. Here is the 2026 lineup.
What Counts as Mechanical Art
Three mechanisms define the category: hand-crank (you turn, the figure moves — Van Gogh paints, The Scream screams), steampunk assembly (brass and gear aesthetics, often DIY kits), and motorized kinetic (USB or battery power moves wings and limbs). The common thread: the movement is the artwork, not an accessory to it.
