About This Item
A flip clock tells time by flipping cards — each minute, a card falls and the number beneath it becomes the new time. The mechanism is a split-flap display, the same automatic system that ran airport departure boards and train station clocks from the 1960s through the 1980s. This collection brings that mechanism to your desk in 27 styles: compact bicycle and plane-shaped clocks, a classic box flip clock, large display models with decorative books, solid wood base sets, cloud-shaped vintage pieces, and minimal wall-mountable displays. Each one keeps accurate time and announces every minute with the soft sound of a falling card.
Why You'll Love It
- Automatic Split-Flap Mechanism — Cards flip themselves every minute — the original airport-board display → you see real time move, with a soft sound to match
- 27 Styles — From pocket-sized bike and plane clocks to large display models and wall-mountable pieces → match the clock to the desk, shelf, or wall
- Solid Wood Base Options — Vintage, cloud, and desk sets sit on solid wood bases → a warmer, more substantial desk presence
- Keeps Accurate Time — A proper mechanical clock instead of a phone screen → time you can actually watch
